First Chicago Christmas

For the first time, I did not spend Christmas in my hometown (Puerto Rico). Instead I spent it here, in the beautiful city of Chicago. The reason, you might wonder, is due to a dance team commitment. Nevertheless, I had a wonderful time. My mom came and we spent the holidays with her side of the family. The city is gorgeous at this time along with many fun things to do. For example, ice skating at Millennium Park, Navy Pier's Winter Wonderfest, see the Christmas tree at the Daley Center Plaza, the Nutcracker ballet and if you want to stay warm for a few hours you can visit the Art Institute.
 
I was grateful that my mom was able to come, I hadn't seen her since August! We did many fun things, but mostly we walked on Michigan Avenue and shopped till we dropped because of the awesome holiday sales. Then suddenly I thought, how funny is it how just one special person can light up your day and make you enjoy the moment?
